There are indeed many precautions to imprison a man in what he is as if we lived in perpetual fear that he might escape from it, that he might break away and suddenly elude his condition.

This exhibition stems from my investigations with identity. Through use of the white figure, I sought to denaturalize the body so as to raise questions regarding external perceptions of identity.

Ultimately, I wanted to represent the body as a pure, uncontaminated entity beyond appearances. White light contains the entire colour spectrum; in order to get any other colour something must be subtracted from the original white light. White light then, in film, contains everything, any image that appears on the film takes something away from this white light. The white figure a metaphor for this idea.
